Digital Video Producer

You can do it all. As our first creative hire at Wild Alaskan (this should excite you, by the way!), you’ll be responsible for concepting, producing, shooting and editing videos that engage potential members, educate and connect with our community and strengthen the brand. This position will be a resident on our growth team and collaborate closely with the communications and member experience teams. You’re a master in juggling multiple productions at once, not afraid to push creative boundaries and have no problem publishing work that’s not perfect.

  • Collaborate with the growth and comms teams to concept, write, produce, shoot and edit social video ads several times per week across various channels (Facebook, Email, Instagram, etc.)
  • Quickly respond to market feedback and make edits to existing videos, as well as create new ones
  • Whether it’s short-form, long-form, slideshows with text overlays, motion graphics, user generated content, stop motion, verite… You’re capable and excited to try it all
  • Work closely with the Communications and Member Experience teams to identify problems that can be solved effectively through video storytelling, and then execute on those productions
  • While your primary focus will be video, you’re willing and able to shoot and edit stills for our advertising channels and web site
  • Consistently deliver projects on time and in budget
  • This position is based in our Brooklyn office and could require travel, depending on the project



  • 2+ years working with a creative agency, production company or in-house brand production team
  • A degree in film, media, journalism, design or 4 years of relevant experience
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Premiere and/or Final Cut Pro, color correction, sound mixing and lighting
  • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop, or similar programs
  • A high attention to detail with excellent project management skills
  • A successful track record working in a high volume environment
  • A willingness to embrace uncertainty
  • Experience writing video treatments and formulating budgets
  • Familiar with the latest ecommerce and video advertising trends
  • Superb communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Spent several years working as a freelancer
  • Food shooting and styling experience
  • Knowledge of performance-based marketing strategies
  • Previous employment at an ecommerce and/or food company
  • Experience working at or with a start-up
