Junior Buyer/Planner - Supply Chain

Brooklyn, New York

Reporting directly to the Head of Operations and Supply Chain, your execution will have an integral part in determining the experience our members have. Supply Chain handles procurement and logistics of all seafood and dry goods from origin until they reach our distribution centers. You will work closely with Operations in order to ensure the right amounts of products are going to the correct centers. You think quick on your feet, are nimble, organized and highly analytical. Please note that this position will be on a west coast schedule (11am - 8pm).


  • Foster and maintain relationships with key players in the fishing industry from harvest to process
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and change management
  • Create projections for seafood and dry material usage
  • Calculate ordering needs based on projections
  • Handle purchase orders and follow through on order fulfillment
  • Communicate with fulfillment on products needed and arrange logistics
  • Collect and maintain documentation



  • Bachelor's Degree or 2 years of relevant experience in supply chain, purchasing, or the seafood industry
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Passionate about sustainable, wild-caught seafood
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
  • Adaptable to new systems and processes
  • Ability to execute quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience working with distributed, remote teams

Nice To Haves

  • A background in sustainability
  • A track record in eCommerce, supply chain operations, financial modeling and/or QA
  • Proficiency in languages other than English
