With Father's Day around the corner, today we're going to try something a little different. Today I'd like to share a poem to honor and celebrate my husband Arron, who is WAC's founder and CEO — but who does the ultimate job of his life in his role as Papa.
Papa Bear
Wizard of whimsy
Imagination station
Magician, logician and slinger of fun
Fort facilitator
Train track trickster
Builder of boatyards and bridges
Purveyor of tall tales that trail into the night
Beach comber, trail trekker
Dawn walker, salmon hawker
A blue-eyed card shark
Wielder of both pen and sword
Yes to Play Doh, but with safety, he don't play though
Our pensive pirate, our gracious grizzly
His eagle eyes, all ways open wide
Heart like the ocean, vast and deep
Tenderest teacher
Selfless endower
Sharer of power
Guide made of insights and pillow fights
Leader, feeder and no one sweeter
Our Alaskan bastion
The steward of our legacy
And holder of the happiest heartbeats in town
The one
The only
Our Papa Bear
Happy Father’s Day to the co-captain of this Kallenberg family ship.
If you’re taking this Sunday to contemplate or celebrate a father figure in your life, Happy Father’s Day to you and your crew, too.
Live Wild,
Monica
