As a family whose love language, spirit animal, and core legacy has always been the salmon that runs wild in the waters of Alaska, we are thrilled to share that this year the decadent, rich, and flavorful king salmon has a place of pride at our holiday table.
Also known as chinook salmon, king salmon likely earns its royal nomenclature due to its size — as the largest of the Pacific salmon species. Known for its buttery smooth texture, its substantial fillets, and incredible flakiness, king salmon is considered an absolute delicacy in Alaska and beyond.
If you’re still trying to vision board your (quickly approaching) holiday menus, I can’t say enough about featuring king salmon as your main. A simple pairing, as in this Mustard Glazed King Salmon recipe is enough to let this super special species shine as the main star of the night. Adding in a spoonful of jarred fruit preserves takes things over the top to create a glaze-y sauce for the fish. It's an easy dish made from a few pantry staples that feels much more elegant than the sum of its parts.
It is our absolute honor to bring you one of Alaska’s most prized species of salmon, as always leaning into our forever goal of offering high-quality, sustainably sourced seafood that is sure to enhance your palate, menu-rotation and home-cooked cuisine.
This is a special offering, only available for a limited time. We invite you to serve this succulent fish to your loved ones this holiday season.
Live Wild!

P.S. Now that many of us are putting together our holiday gifting lists, let me propose something that can make holiday shopping a breeze this year: share the gift of wild-caught seafood! A seafood gift box from Wild Alaskan Company is a thoughtful gift that embodies health, happiness, and deliciousness. There are 9 different seafood boxes to choose from — pick the one that you think best fits your giftee.
