Spot prawns are an exquisite species of shellfish -- the largest wild shrimp species found in Alaska, decadent in flavor while being low in calories and sodium. Spot prawns are known as the lobster of Alaska for their subtle sweetness and robust bite, and it isn't uncommon to find a certain amount of briny, jewel-like roe (eggs) attached to their bellies.
